What I did was first create a new profile and then go under c:Documents and Settingsusername and performed a “Move” of everything (in some cases I did a copy) to the new profile.
Then after checking the network and the shared file server information I deleted the old profile (I know it was a major no-no but I had been there 12 hours already and just plain old did not think).
Anyway when you delete a profile the the Administrations and Users section it asks if you want to keep the old profile data, I chose “Yes”.
So I expected the data in Outlook since it was under the profile to be there but the only folders moved were “My Documents” and “Settings” and in some cases (but not all “User Data” but no others. In other words the “Hidden” folders did not move. EVEN THOUGH when I did the “Move” or “Copy” command there was a pop up stating “There are x number of hidden files do you want to move them too?” I very specifically selected “Yes”.
As a backup to my “Move” I chose the “Keep Files” when I deleted the profile and again it only kept “My Documents”, “Settings” and “User Data” in some cases but nothing more.

    • in reply to: Installing XP on a SATA drive #846352

The Motherboard came with 3.5″ floppy labeled SATA drivers. However installing / inserting it after pressing F6 during Windows installation did not work, the disk was read but where devices are listed in the F6 page nothing was listed, I did press enter 4 or 5 times and I took the floppy to another machine. It had 3 folders (Intel, Silicon, Via) and a .OEM file in the Root. I tried the Seagate site and that did not resolve my problem.

    • I was trying to let you see the actual script text that was missing not a link or mouseover, is that what you were refering to?
Also I think I figured out the issue. The “themes” did not make a difference. BUT instead of opening the web site in FP03 (which is when the errors occured) I just tried “importing” the site and guess what, it is working fine now. I did not see a Microsoft knowledge base article about not being able to directly open a web site made in FP00 with FP03 but there it is. Go ahead and check it out.
Thanks for your idea, it directly led to this diagnosis.

    • in reply to: Frontpage 2003 killing shared borders (Frontpage 2003) #832240

If you view the code in FP the following does not show up. But in comparing the two pages through “View source” and note pad the following Java script information is missing, now 1.) why does FP03 strip FP00 data and 2.) how do I get it back in there?

This is just a small sampling, and If I cut it from notepad and place it in FP03 then go to view it strips it away.

    • By the way, across the Link bars it says “Add this page to the Navigation view to add hyper links here”.
      HOWEVER
If you go to the navigation view the page is shown and if you go to the links view it shows the arrows (links) pointing toward it from the other pages.

    • in reply to: Determining when a file on a website was changed #820375

create a blank HTML page and name it something like “Last Updated”
Open the properties and under the URL section enter:
      “java script:alert(document.lastModified)” san quotes
I saved this as a “Favorites” and when I have a web page open I click on this and it tells me when the page was last modified.
Problem 1: It does not directly address your desire however I think you can modify it to your need.
Problem 2: Many time even though I see no change on the page it shows as modified, I think that if there is a hidden counter and you log on it counts that as a change.
      Just an idea.

Welcome to the club. The unresolved issue is well er … unresolved.
I went from a Palm IIIe to a Toshiba 330. That was a mistake. If the Pocket PC is on or even thinks it is on and I connect to the cradle, no syncing will occur, the same goes for when I want to remove it from the cradle, it and Outlook must be off/closed.
