Jerry, Thank you. I’ll take a look at it. From what I have been told, it will not work instantly to other network computers. I’ll check it out though!

Best I have found is Googles free websites. Make a family blog and invite only those you want to see it!

The laptop is plugged in. It always seemed too warm to me and I questioned it, but the retailer I got it from said that it was normal. It is only 3 years old. I am going to take it to the place I purchased it from and have “a little chat.”

Thanks everyone for the information! I won’t do anything then until the new release from Microsoft is out.

I’ve got two machines set to “notify only” and one set to “download and update”. All three work fine. Most people should have Automatic updates on anyway.

I don’t like those programs that lure you into buying them by providing a free download that invariably reports that there’s a lot wrong with your PC, but you need to pay to do anything about it.

The merit of registry cleaners is debatable, but CCleaner is a pretty safe one, and it’s completely free.

Thank you Hans. I will give that one a try.

Registryedit – So I ran it and saw all the “supposed” errors but in order to fix it I have to register and pay! So what is a FREE download???? I ran into this with other so called “Free downloads”! Are there any good, truly free ones out there?

Thank you. I just finished downloading and am now running registryeasy.com to see if this will help at all. Are there any other pc cleanup tools that you would recommend?

If you right click the exe and selct properties does it tell you anything interesting?

      Joe

I never got any results after doing a search so I went ahead and unchecked it in the startup table and rebooted my system. Everything seems to be working fine so will leave it at that. I sure wish I could find where it is sitting on my computer though. In the table is just shows it as shown in the attached wordpad document:
