      Hey Thanks RMRUCKER!
      That does work.
      In case you are interested, I use a utility called “Advanced Registry Tracer” and located the registry keys that are associated with that feature. In the case of MSWord, The registry entry is in the HKey_LocalMachineSoftwareCLASSESWord.Document.8 folder. The key [EditFlags]=1 is added when the box you mentioned gets “unchecked”
      BTW… if you uncheck the “view in browser” checkbox, another key is added to the same registry entry [BrowserFlags]=8
      Anyways…THANKS AGAIN!

      Rory,
      Thanks so much! I guess the interface for this configuration is not that clear. As a follow-up…
      When I highlight an hour block on the custom time table, will exchange send just ONE message during that hour?

    • in reply to: registry setting for prompt for profile (Outlook2000) #539784

      Answering my own question:
      The registry setting is in HKEY_Users/.default/Software/Microsoft/Exchange/Client/Options/PickLogonProfile
      0=use default profile
      1=prompt for profile

      In case your interested, I found a great utility at the CNET download shareware site
      It’s called “Advanced Registry Tracer”
      it lets you campare registry settings by taking a “snapshot” of your registry. Then after you make changes take another snapshot and compare the changes. PRETTY COOL!!

    • in reply to: Searching links #528408

      The problem is not HOW to change the links.
      The problem is finding WHICH documents have the wrong links.
      I would like to be able to do a some sort of customized search on the “link” fields in ALL documents in order to identify the bad documents.

    • in reply to: Quickly Minimize All Windows from Keyboard #521605

      Sorry,
      I didn’t see your note in the original post that mentions “If you don’t have a windows key…”

      By the way… If you create a shortcut and then asscoiate a KB shortcut with it, then later if you delete that shortcut the KB shorcut seems to be diabled and you can’t use the same key combination for a different shortcut. Any ideas on how to “reclaim” that keyboard combination??

    • in reply to: Quickly Minimize All Windows from Keyboard #521602

      There is an easier way:
      I found this on a previous thread….
      If you have a “micrsoft Natural KB” use the WinLogoKey + M to minimize all then Shift+WinLogokey+M will restore
      (check MS KB Q126449 )

    • in reply to: Printers disapear #521565

      This is a mixed Novell/NT environment. This is occuring with both network and local printers (mostly local). We run TCP/IP protocol. We also run Norton AV Corporate 7.2
      The only new install is Infoconnect, but not on all computers.

      Thanks! I had tried searching the registry for the names in the list but since that value is in binary it did not find it.
      Thanks Again!!
