    • Thanks.

This is my own personal PC.  So no one else has configured it.

Can you give me keys / places to check in Group Policy Editor?

      Hi-

The website is currently down  due to a server being broken, We are working to get it back up and working. We do not have an ETA at the moment unfortunately.  All of our servers are down so the newsletter probably never was sent out. . Once the site comes back up I can access your account to check on what the problem is.

      My suggestions in this order:
      A. Make sure your AV is current and up to date. Then run a FULL scan. If using a freebie AV , consider a paid one!
      B. Download and run SUPERANTISPYWARE. Free one is fine. Run a full scan, and make sure the box for checking browser add-ons is checked. If this scanner refuses to run or crashes, it means the malware is trying to protect itself, so download and run their portable version from their site.

      THANKS!

Does anyone know if the test options other that “Write Zeros” are destructive to drive contents?

The reason I ask is a line on the referenced pages says ”
      [TABLE]
      [TR]
      [TD]Important:
If any of the tests fail, including the Quick Test, you will need to replace the drive being tested. ”
Does that mean that the utility marks the drive unusable or what?

Do you have the most current drivers from Dell?

      Joe

YES What I recently did was..
      A) Hard Drive was replaced
      B) hard drive had a ‘current’ disk image from Dell
      C) Compared against the current drivers disk supplied
      D) Compared against the website

This appears to be a hardware problem, since all software was replaced, and problem persisted!

      YES to all…
      What I recently did was..
      A) Hard Drive was replaced
      B) hard drive had a ‘current’ disk image from Dell
      C) Compared against the current drivers disk supplied
      D) Compared against the website

      Also,
      BIOS is most current available.
Media Direst is most current one available, and maintenance applied.

This appears to be a hardware problem, since all software was replaced, and problem persisted!
