    Does anyone know if there is a way to update information which is linked to another worksheet without having to open the worksheet?

        I have triple checked these settings and this method is not working. I actually have to open the both spreadsheets before the values will update properly. The objective is to have users update one spreadsheet and mangers view summarys which are linked in a seperate spreadsheet. Any ideas?

          I’m guessing that the “wrong” values were saved in the closed workbook and when opened, automatic calculation “fixes” these values. You should open the linked ss’s recalculate, save & close all & try again. This should work.
