I have been having problems with Access, so I removed and reinstalled the program. Now I get a message that Access can’t start because there is no license for it on this machine. Now what? I have the original CD with all of the certificate of authenticity and such.

There is a problem with Access 97 and the Haettenschweiler font that can cause this message. Have a look at ACC: “There Is No License” Error Message Starting Microsoft Access for a description and solution.

Interestingly enough, that same font will cause other things to have problems as well because each version of Office installs its own peculiar version of that font … and I’ve never seen it used anywhere! confused

Actually the report wizard in 2000 and I think in 2002 uses it for labels! It creates some strange looking reports too!

Well, at least now I know! laugh No wonder I’ve never seen it. I never use the label wizard … or most of the other wizards for that matter. shrug
