How to set a certain .pot template to be the one that is visible as the first file in the New File/Slide Layout/New Presentation?

There are so many templates available that our company template is very difficult to retrieve.

    Thanks in advance!!

      Bjorn:

Template files are listed alphabetically. If you precede your template name with a zero (ie 0MyTemplate.pot) it will be listed first.

        Thanks a lot.

I thought it could have been set by another property.
May be there are VBA code that could set it.

When starting PP and choose New from Template a dialog box with 3 tabs appear. The 3 are General/Design template and Presentations. By default it opens in Design template. I would like it to open in General when first opened. This tab is also the first one. Are there any setting or other property that can control this?

        Thanks!!!

          Bjorn :

I’d be interested in the answer to that myself. Presumably there is, as my copy of PPt 2000 defaults to the General tab.

If you want to make life easier for your users, why not create a macro to use the correct template and attach it to a toolbar button. Then, they only have to click the button to use the template.
