Dumb question: since most monitors are in ‘landscape’ orientation, and the IE ‘Print’ command tries to print what’s on the screen, why isn’t the default page setup orientation landscape, too?
Ans since it’s not, how can it make it so?

AskWoody LoungerJune 21, 2004 at 11:32 am #842720As far as I have been able to determine from earlier posts on this subjects here and in the newsgroups, Internet Explorer does not store the page orientation between sessions, so it defaults to the default page setting of your printer each time you restart Interner Explorer.
If you need to use the vertical scroll bar to see all the contents of a web page, all of it will be printed, not just one screenful, so printing in landscape is not necessary.

AskWoody LoungerJune 21, 2004 at 10:52 pm #843078Hi John
Printer Express is a great little program that makes it very easy to quickly change your default “Printer” target on the fly.
Try it for FREE then decide if it’s worth the asking price of $12.00US.Keep in mind rhat you can “Add” a printer for each printer setup (portrait, landscape, draft quality, photo quality, grey scale, colour, etc,) and very easily set any one as default as required. You can also “Add” any device that you can “print” to.
Have a Great day!!!
