How can I substract AppDate from PayDate?
{SET Amount 1}{SET Paydate 7/1/1997 }{SET AppDate 3/19/2009}After {{AppDate} – {PayDate}} days, Mr. X fails to settle {Amount} in arrears.

  The method to calculate the difference between two dates can be found on page 9 in Macropod’s Word Date Calculation Tutorial. It’s immensely useful, especially for legal documents. Macropod’s discourse on date calculation using Field Codes is the most comprehensive and enormous in the universe to the best of my recollection. Macropod’s article expounds not only the Field Codes but also the algorithm techniques.
  I’m grateful for Macropod’s great contribution to the civilization.
