I recently gave a friend some old Office 95 software for a Windows 95 computer. Before I gave it him, I tested the installation on my Windows XP computer. After that checked out, I uninstalled the software.

Now, when I boot up, I get an error message with the title “Can’t run 16-bit Windows program”. The error message reads, “Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one or more Windows applications and then try again.” This message appears twice.

Does anyone know what I have to clean out of my system to get rid of this message?

    Thanks,
    Bob

      Bob,
Seems like there’s something left in your startup. Take a look at this thread Startup items for a discussion of startup.
