After going to settings and then checking for updates, I finally got 1607 (Build 14393.187).
The update went smoothly, although it took a long while. But not everything came out as expected:

    * Classic Shell disappeared. Had to download the latest version and install it. But all the settings in the previous Classic Shell came back.
(Classic Shell lets you retro to the menu system back to XP or Windows 7. Also returns Windows Explorer to sanity. It’s a freebie)

    * The custom system tray clock wouldn’t fit; only the hour numbers were visible. Downloaded the same app and when it was installed, it worked fine.
(If you’re like me and can’t read the tiny numbers on the bottom right corner, try Atomic Alarm Clock from Drive Software. It’s free and has a dozen or so skins)

    * There was another one, but I can’t remember what it was. In my 80s, I’m lucky if I can remember what I came in the room for.I’m sure I’ll discover some additional glitches, and maybe even remember to post them here.

You don’t seem to be doing so badly for 80 – my memory is like that at 68 😀

I’ve discovered another devious trick the trolls in the Anniversary Edition are playing.

In the original Win10, I was able to disable the ‘date screen’ that precedes the lock screen. Now with this latest upgrade, it has come back and I don’t seem to be able to get rid of it.

I’m hoping others also want to remove it, and someone has the method.
