Can anyone tell me why the Service Time line in this chart is out of place? The data points are accurate but they aren’t locating on the chart as they should. The Wait Time line is fine and located properly, but I can’t get the Service Time line to move down to where it should fit on the vertical axis. I’m sure it is something simple, but I am not finding an answer. Any ideas? And thanks! :^)

It looks like there’s a problem with the formula – it’s adding the times together. I changed the Service Times all to one minute, which then caused the Service time to match the Wait time, but one minute “higher”.

That is what it is doing alright, adding them. I’ll try redoing the formula, though, in the series, you can’t remove the 1 or 2 at the end of the formula without getting an error message. I’ll poke around that idea. Thanks!

I fixed it. Decided to start over, and this time, from the chart types, I used the first example, not the second in the dialog box and it worked as intended, though the formula is identical. Something underlying in the line chart code MS uses, I guess. But it is working as intended. Thanks.

Likely you had selected a stacked chart format.

      Glad you worked it out.

BigMac56 is correct. It was NOT a problem with any formula but the chart type chosen. A “stacked line” was chosen. This plots the values for series 1, then series 2 is plotted as the sum of Series 1 + series 2, if a series 3 had been added it would have been the sum of Series1 + Series2 + series3. This is by design, it is how a stacked chart works.
