Access 2010 select query won’t filter

It seems that my select queries aren’t filtering. If I change it to a make table query, the table is filtered but if I just run the query, it doesn’t see my filters. They are simple filters, nothing elaborate. Like in one field all I want is “EOM” but I get everything in that field. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how can I fix it??? As a work around, I just make tables but in some cases this isn’t practical. :confused:
