    Dear Loungers,

I have used Access for years but now have Access2013 and some things have changed. I have an asp db.

I wanted to change the field names. there is a data macro which sets one of the fields. It would seem that now changing the field names doesn’t update the field references in the macros. The problem is that I must save the table before updating the macro, on save I get an error because the field referred to doesn’t exist, it won’t save with an error. This means I can’t save the table then update the macro. I think the only way round it is to delete the macro, make the changes then recreate the macro.

It seems ridiculous that I ca’t do this and if the macro is large it is an unnecessary waste of time.

Do you agree or is there another way?

    Thank you…………….. liz
