There’s some talk at the office about creating some forms and such for keeping logs of things that happen on projects. The type of thing that a shared database would probably be apropriate for. I know that there is an option to create “runtime” Access projects that do not require the user to have Access installed, so I went looking for that.
I found that I need the “Access 2003 Developer’s Extensions” which is part of “Visual studio tools for MS Office Systems.” Now it seems that to get that I can either buy an MSDN subscription (which comes in about 5 varieties) , Or Visual Studio .NET (which comes in about 10 flavors!).

Can someone maybe simplify this mess for me? I imagine this would probably be a VBA-Access application, at least for the foreseeable future. No C ro J of any description.
Thanks for any advice
