    Access 2002 SP3 on WinXP SP3
I’ve got a strange performance issue. Occasionally, when browsing records of a table through a simple form, Access behind the scenes goes and launches another copy of itself (as shown on the task bar). I happens when tabbing from field to field, or sometimes when moving from record to record. It doesn’t happen for most actions, just occasionally. As soon as the new instance of Access has launched, it closes itself (but there’s been a good 5-10 second delay because of this). There’s no code behind the form at all. The Record Source for the form is a plain table. None of the table fields are lookup fields. The database is split into a back end and front end. There’s nothing else running on the machine. Virus checked.
I’m a bit stumped for ideas. Anyone come across this, or have any ideas where I should look?

You could should check the the event properties for macros and maybe the hyperlink properties. Althought the later is more probably the case with command buttons.

I haven’t seen anything like that. Don’t know if this is a factor, but I’d make sure the “Track Name Autocorrect” option is turned off.
