Activex component can’t create object (2000)

I have a user who gets an error message that says “Activex can’t create object” when she opens Word.

I thought that it was a permissions thing, because I don’t get the message when I log in as administrator. But she is an admin on her local machine.

I Googled and searched MS KB but all the references that I can find refer to Access or VB programming none for Office 2000 or specifically for Word.

Her installation of Office is up to date with updates.

I can tell that I am missing something, but don’t know what

Perhaps an add-in (global template) is causing problems. Try Phil Rabichow’s Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word.
