Add Remove Programs (Win XP SP2)

When I open the Add Remove Programs list box, from the control panel, I get the installed application list with one problem. The list has a hugh section with nothing listed. When you start at the top I have 4 applications listed then I get blank section in the list until I scroll down to the bottom of the list where the remaining 50 or so applications are listed. I have tried sorting the list with the provided options, but none have any effect on this large empty section in the middle. I have tried uninstalling the applications on either side of the space and re-installing them again after rebooting, but the space remains. The attached screen captures display what I am seeing. is there anything I can do to fix this??? I have this problem on a couple of computers .

Lost of good info If I wanted to remove a program, but what I want to remove is the huge blank section in the middle of my Add Remove programs as displayed in the original request.

Check line 226, right hand column in Kellys Korner – XP Tweaks and Fixes, which provided a VB script to resolve the problem. which appears to have been related to the installation of Autocad application.
