All apps missing after update Windows 10 20H2

Hi Team!

Just to let you know. After updating about 20 Windows 10 computers with 20H2 update (KB4592438) two computers lost all its applications. So the failure rate is about 10%. The only way to fix it – roll back to the previous version via Settings\Recovery. Looks like this particular update has some issues.

Do you have any third party security software installed? Also was it a missing/changed profile rather than true loss of applications?

Susan,

We use BitDefender as our endpoint security app. It feels like the registry is getting wiped/corrupted. I was unable to see any apps installed under any (user or admin) profile. The profile itself was ok, as a user was able to see all files and shortcuts, but nothing worked.
