    Greetings Everyone,

I have a problem with document amendments . Currently when a technical document needs to be amended the amended pages come as a separate word document. Both these docs are printed out and the amended pages are inserted into the physical document.

I would dearly like to insert an amendment ( say Pages 6 and 7) directly into the Word document . As the footers of the amended pages have a amendment number that must be retained I can’t just cut and paste.

Can anyone point me in the right, or even optimistic direction?

      Hi,

This sounds more like a question for the Word forum, so you might try posting it over there.

Usually if you’ve got to have different footer information for different pages, you can do this by putting the pages into their own section. Most likely you’d want to do a manual operation rather than something via code, unless you’ve got to do this so frequently that a macro would help. But I’d still suggest starting out by doing it manually, before working out how to do it via a macro.

The method we use to achieve this is to merge the pages in Acrobat.

      • create a completely new Word document, with new footers
      • print both documents using Acrobat PDFMaker
      • Use Acrobat insert and delete pages to create a single PDF file with appropriate pages
