• Android Chrome – Most Visited Sites on New Tab

    Hi all,

This is a minor irritation that’s been bugging me for months. I’ve researched it from time to time but come up with no resolution.

The issue is that when you open a new tab in Chrome on an Android mobile device you’re served a Google search bar followed by an array of your most visited sites. (And then some recommended new articles.) If you press and hold on any of the most visited sites there is a remove option. I accidentally removed a site that I would like to have displayed again but I can find no way to do that. It’s as if once removed it’s gone forever.

This setting must be stored in the cloud somewhere as the same site does not appear on all my mobile devices. It is a site I visit several times/day so it’s not that the site is not visited often enough to appear in the list.

    Any insight/suggestions would be appreciated.

I don’t use chrome on android… but I do like being able to configure things the way I like them, and have used it on PC.

In researching, I found Create, view, and edit bookmarks, from Google Chrome Help. I’m thinking that you can manually add a bookmark… then look at your bookmark folders and see if one is called favorites, and move the bookmark to that folder? Or look for bookmark bar folder and see if the entries match what you are seeing, and then add the bookmark there?

Maybe another chrome user could chime in, for a more accurate bit of help?

The “most visited sites” offered appear to be generated dynamically as they change when I start visiting a new site regularly.

The site I want added is bookmarked but I don’t believe that’s relevant as some of the sites which appear are not.

      Thanks for looking regardless!
