Any news on KB2993651 as to install or not?

Just curious if anyone has had problems with kb2993651 ( the reissued patch for kb2982791 ). It’s almost update tuesday so was wondering if things are safe yet.
I originally updated kb2982791 on 3 computers, 2 win 7 x64’s and 1 win 7 x86 and had no problems. I just uninstalled kb2982791 on the x86 computer and thought that I better see what the general consensus is before going any further.

Seems to be working OK on my Win 8.1 Update 1 Desktop and on 2 Win 7 HP installs on my laptop. HTH :cheers:

Agreed. Just gt the update installed on 2 of my desktops. So far so good.

Well I took the plunge. I uninstalled kb2982791 on the x86 computer and 1 of the x64 computers so far and installed kb2993651. So far all is ok other than it seems to take a little bit longer to load windows now, nothing drastic though, just noticeable.
Guess I’ll do the other x64 computer tomorrow.

KB2993651 installed and worked fine on my Vista/Win7 machines. also installed KB2993651 on my dad’s Toshiba laptop with Win8.1 and no problems encountered there.

btw, KB2993651 is NOW a pre-requisite update before installing the KB2970228 update as noted in Microsoft KB article 2970228.

I didn’t install 2970228 since I really have no use for the addition of the Russian ruble and it’s optional. Good info to know though for anyone that needs it.
