Just saw that Acronis is having a deal on TI. I’ve been using Macrium Reflect free but thought I might give TI a try. I used to use TI many years ago and liked it then.Any users out there with advice? I don’t mind paying for a good product.

Yes, I bought it, from ATI 11, now at 15 🙂 It’s a little geekish for beginners, however, I think you will have no problems with it. I do suggest: label your normal c-drive something similar to: “S01_C” and your normal d-drive “S01_D,” regardless whether separate physical drives or partitions on one single physical drive. Label your external drive something similar to “Kitty” or “Rover,” anything so that you know where your backups are going, and where your restores are coming from. Acronis TI does not use the same drive letters your Windows uses.

I restored a file today using TI and found it seemed to have a copy of the file I wanted every day, which of course isn’t correct. It performs incremental backups so only had the modified version from a month ago. This seems to me to be a bug of sorts, it should only list the files as they were modified, not when the backup ran. TI 2014.
Apart from that minor niggle it does exactly what I want and I’m more than happy with my purchase.

      cheers, Paul
