AOL is the email service I am using. I have received an email this morning that was supposedly from AOL telling me “we are getting ready to roll” with some changes at their server and if I did not update my settings, clicking on the link provided, my account was going “to be terminated.”
With AOL one never knows these days, but I decided right away it was most likely a scam and sent it directly to my trash can, there to await final judgement. Then I did a Web search with “aol rolling account closed” as keywords and got several hits at the very top confirming that this is a scam.
So if you are an AOL email customer and get that email, get rid of it, do not click on the link provided, and then forget about the whole thing and get on with your day.
