I’ve created a Help file for my database. I can get it to work when I press F1, but I don’t know how to put a button on the form and get it to go to the same help file section when I click it.

AskWoody LoungerMay 14, 2004 at 11:46 pm #827525You can set the HelpFile and HelpContextID properties in the properties sheet of the form which will result in that topic coming up when you press F1 from that form. You don’t ordinarily launch help with a button click on a form, but if you have set the HelpFile and HelpContextID of the form, you could have a button to use the much-maligned SendKeys to pass an F1 and launch help.

It doesn’t work. When I run the Macro itself, on the status bar at the bottom, it says “Setting Up Wizards”. It has one little blue block beside it, but it never has any more than that. It’s as if it’s starting to set up wizards, but hangs. I end up having to do a shut down on my Access task because I can’t close the Access program otherwise.
