Is there a way to stop the annoying pop up that keeps asking me if I want to turn on AutoComplete? I don’t want autocomplete and I don’t want to be asked anymore. Thank you.

      Try:
      Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete >
and have a look at your settings there…
(I suspect it is not an option you can get rid of.)

I’ve been there and have all the boxes unchecked. I may have to check one of them just to make the popup go away. Thanks for the reply. What an irritating “feature”.

I fear you are right – select the most infrequent one you are likely to come across and see if that helps.
Hopefully there is a registry hack that someone knows about….

Here’s a link to Kelly Theriot’s site: http://www2.cajun.net/~theriots/blk/auto_complete.htm%5B/url%5D. This page has mucho information about autocomplete.

Hi and Happy New Year. I have Pop Up Stopper installed and it may be worth giving it a try for this problem. You can manually turn this little program on and off if you wish, its free and should it not solve the problem you mention then you can uninstall it. http://www.panicware.com/ [/url]

I already use Guard IE to stop pop ups. It works good on web site popups but the only way it will stop this one is to have it stop all scripts from running. I will try the stopper program. Thank you.

You don’t like it? I’m rather spoiled by it, probably because I am a keyboard jockey and hate the mouse.
