• Automatic Shutdown (IE5/SP2)

Our company is moving to PeopleSoft for HR recording and I need to set IE up so that if an employee forgets to close the browser after they are done, it will shutdown automatically. Is there a way to have IE running under Windows 95 shutdown automatically after a period of inactivity, say 10 or 15 minutes?

    Thanks,
    Howard Sorensen

It sounds like you are using version 8 of PeopleSoft. If so, there is a security feature within PeopleSoft v8 that will automatically end the user’s session after 20 minutes. I’m not sure if if the 20 minutes is configurable. You might want to check the security set-ups.

Thanks for the info. I’ll contact the person who is in charge of this rollout about this.
