Hi
I’ve been comparing anti-virus software and I’ve found a lot of reviews dismissing AVG 2012 as rubbish compared to its predecessor. The problem is I can’t find any links to download the 2011 version of AVG Anti-Virus Free, only the 2012 edition. Can anybody give me a safe link or send me the installer files?
Many thanks

I don’t believe that to be correct. Every version is written to do more and provide more protection than the previous version.
Staying with an OLD version is foolish at best. As a PC professional, I would NEVER do that.If what you say were correct, it would be blasted all over the internet…..and it’s NOT.
However if you must shoot yourself in the foot, File Hippo keeps a lot of old versions of software on their file servers.
Another bad thing about OLD versions of Security software, is that updates will only go on for a limited time and then
they will stop…..leaving you completely unprotected from the latest Malware.Set the update scheduler in AVG to a time of day (every day) when you will have the computer turned on and be on the
internet. Schedule a full scan for several minutes, like 15 to 30, after an update….. so you get both an update and a
full scan once every day. That’s the only way to stay completely SAFE.Good Luck,
