I have two separate Word forms in which after entering data in the first form some of the same data is needed when I fill in the second form. Is there any way to link the fields to update from

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerAugust 11, 2006 at 7:59 pm #1024200You can do it like this:
– Unlock the combined document.
– Double click a form field in the first form whose value you need in the second one.
– Note the bookmark name of the form field, say Text3. You can change it to a more meaningful name if you wish.
– Tick the check box “Calculate on exit”.
– Click OK.
– Move to the form field in the second form you want to fill.
– Double click this form field.
– Set the Type to Calculation
– Set the Expression to =Text3, with the appropriate bookmark name substituted.
– Click OK.
– Repeat as needed.
– Finally, lock the document for forms again. -
