Block Delete (Word XP )

When I select a block of text to be deleted and then, press the delete key; instead of deleting it, I get a message on the status bar that says “Block Delete(No)Yes?” and I then must press y to get it to delete. I have run into this once before with this version of Word and cannot remember what I did to turn it off. I have searched everywhere for this option. I have searched the help files, I have searched the MS Knowledge Base and have come up empty. Can anyone please advise, it’s driving me crazy!

This involves help for WordPerfect users, or something like that. Try searching WordPerfect in the online help.

If it’s still in the same place, Tools/Options/General tab & UNcheck both Help for WordPerfect users & Navigation Keys for WordPerfect users.
