I’m looking for a server side breadcrumb trail script OR as second best, something that will generate the code in Dreamweaver.
Any suggestions?

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 11, 2003 at 6:17 pm #713501Hi Catherine,
I’ve always done this using “static” coding. This is because the pages of my sites typically have a specific heirarchy regardless of how the user arrives there (search, favorite, etc).
Are you trying to build this from the exact pages the user has recently navigated? If so, you can use the Javascript window.history object to list their recent pages.
Otherwise, I imagine someone has written a plugin for Dreamweaver that will generate this from a field code based on your site’s navigation structure (somewhat of a longshot)…
Good luck!
