This is not a major problem – just a nagging one. A website http://www.predictify.com just went to a a new version. Ever since they changed – I only get a text display see display example below

    “X-Powered-By: PHP/5.1.6
    Vary: Accept-Encoding
    P3P: CP=”DSP NOI NID” policyref=”scripts/p3p.xml”
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    Date: Thu, 11 Dec 2008 19:08:27 GMT
    X-Varnish: 1939643238
    Age: 0
    Via: 1.1 varnish
    Transfer-encoding: chunked

    209

    …”
instead of getting the visuals of the web pages.

I contacted the site by a circuitous back door method and a developer contacted me and said they had never seen this before and asked me a series of questions about my system. That was over a week ago and no more responses.

If I google predictify and try to access from their response I get the same response I get when I try to use my bookmark.

I am fairly sure there is either a setting in ff or some weird combo of zonealarm – ff – and cookie settings that is causing this, but I have not been able to find it.

This is the only web site that shows this behaviour.

Before posting this I tried IE and got the same result – not sure what that says about my system.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Tom

I’ve tried the site using several versions of Firefox and had no problems accessing it.

Try clearing your cache and the site’s cookies, this can sometimes resolve problems accessing sites that used to work.
Clear cache: “Tools > Options > Advanced > Network” – In the Cache section click “Clear Now”
Clear cookies (only remove those for the site): “Tools > Options > Privacy” – In the Cookies section click “Show Cookies…” to access the option for removing cookies.

If IE and Fx both have the same problem, then then the firewall or web filtering proxy (if applicable) would be the most logical suspect.
