I have used an Access 2010 database for several years and recently started receiving this error: “Cannot open database “. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.”
The only time it comes up is when I try to edit data. If I click on OK, the error box goes away and I can edit, add, etc. without any problems.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might appear?

    Thanks,

I assume you’ve tried to compact/repair? Regardless, it is better to be proactive here. I’d create a new database and import all the items. You might want to redo the relationships.

Actually I think I just found the answer — I’ve hit the Access 2Gb size limit. (I have some photos that are stored within the database 🙁 rather than being linked)
But as you suggested I will go through the new database and import process and see about handling the photos differently.
        Thanks.
