        Susan –

Thank you, that worked! I’ve been dealing with Windows and networks for decades, and I learn something new every day.

        Thanks again,

Oops, spoke too soon! Right after trying Susan Bradley’s fix, my router login worked (using Chrome). Then I tried Edge, and no luck. Tried Chrome again, and no luck.

      So, any further ideas?

      TIA

Actually hang on, now that I think about it, you should be able to import the certificate.  Both Edge and Chrome make this less obvious to do this.

I tried the certificate approach and the “this is unsafe” process. Neither seemed to do anything at all.

I like solving a mystery as well as the next person but, as long as I can use Brave to access my router, I can live with that. Just wish I knew what was going on with Chrome/Edge.

        Thanks

It’s a Ubiquity Edgerouter X router and hasn’t changed since I started using it with my previous Windows 10 computer. All that’s new is the computer.

I just tried logging into the router using my Windows 10 laptop with Edge, and got in with no problem. So it seems to me something in Windows 11 is being more protective.

      Thanks.

What add ons/extensions do you have in your browsers – both for Edge and Chrome.

Well, while this is still a mystery (at least to me), it’s a moot point now. In my efforts to find a reason why Chrome & Edge won’t let me into my router, I discovered that Ubiqity has a utility I could download that finds all their devices on my network, and allows me to log into it directly — no browser needed. So, that will be my go-to access for my router.

Thanks for all the efforts & help!

I only BitWarden and Malwarebytes Browser Guard. But I’ve already tried turning off all extensions and it had no effect. Same result for both Chrome and Edge.
