How to change the global default font to Arial 11?

I assume your screenshot is the built-in “Save as” dialog for a macro. The font used in such a dialog is a global Windows setting, not an Access setting.
– Open the Display Settings control panel.
– Activate the Appearance tab.
– Click Advanced.
– Click on “Message text”.
– Specify the font, font size and font color that you want.
– OK your way out.

The font for message boxes can be set as indicated in my previous reply.

The Zoom window contains a Font… button, but I don’t know of a way to change the default font.

In this case, I’m sorry it won’t work. The above screenshot shows the MsgBox after I’ve switched Windows Message Text to Arial.
Nonetheless, if I find an answer, you’ll be the first to know.

I’d try it again. The Advanced Appearance dialog is where you set the font for message boxes.

Thanks for your generous effort.
You’re right that the Message Text setting affects the MsgBox in Access, at least the color, as shown in the screenshot.
It turns out that, on my Windows XP system, Arial isn’t available for selection. The nearest choice is Arial Unicode MS. Probably it has something to do with the Asian fonts such that it doesn’t look like the usual Arial.

It’s still strange. Arial Unicode MS is – like Arial – a “sans serif” font, but your message box clearly shows a serifed font resembling Times New Roman. I can’t explain that, but it might have to do with the support for East Asian languages. Or with Access 2007.

I’m humbled by your painstaking effort.
The screenshot shows the entire list of fonts but Arial is missing.
Also, I’m still perplexed by the two different fonts being displayed for Arial Unicode MS.
The screenshot in my last post shows correctly the Arial font in the Advanced Appearance dialog box; on the other hand, the Msgbox in Access doesn’t.
Indeed, all my Access database apps (tables, queries and forms) use Chinese heavily.
