    Hi

I would like to change the default size of a shape in powerpoint, but can’t find a way to do this. I tried the following:-

Create Shape –> Resize –> Save as Default Shape

This did not work, as the next time i created the same shape it took the same dimensions it did the first time. This is very frustrating and i can’t believe it cannot be done. The save as default shape works for other properties like fill and line color but not, apparently, size

    Thanks
    Peter

PS Incidentally, this also seems to be the case with Visio

There’s no way to do this the default size is hard coded. It would be possible to code a “resize me” button on the ribbon to make it a one click fix.
