• Changing footnote style (2002 SP 2)

I’m reformatting the footnote style in a document with over 300 footnotes to agree with standard style practices. It’s easy enough to remove the superscript formatting in each note number, but I’d like to find a quick way to put a period after every number. I’d prefer to do this using find/replace rather than usng a macro.

(Edited by jscher2000 on 21-Aug-03 22:58. How about a picture showing where I got those codes?)

      View > Normal
View > Footnotes Important: Insertion point should be in footnote pane.
      Edit > Replace
      Find What = ^f
      Replace With = ^&.

      That’s it!
