I have Excel 2007 running on Windows 7 PRO (64 bit). I am having a problem with making a simple bar chart, and cannot locate the horizontal axis where I want it. I have attached the spreadsheet with the chart.
My input data is the B column (months) and the C column (# of events). Notice that Months start in B10 (Jan) and go thru B21 (Dec). That is how I want the vertical axis on the chart to read—Jan at the top and Dec at the bottom. I also want the horizontal axis to be on the bottom of the chart.
When I first created the chart, the horizontal (value) axis was on the bottom, but on the vertical (category) axis the months were listed with Dec at the top, and Jan at the bottom–not the order shown in column B. So I selected the vertical axis, chose Format Axis, and checked ‘Categories in reverse order’. That provided what you see on the chart–the months are now as I want them, but the horizontal axis is now at the top! I cannot figure out how to move it back to the bottom of the chart. I went to Excel Help, but it did not address the situation, at least that I could find.
Can someone provide me a little guidance on this?
Thanks,
Harry
