I wish to change my ID but cannot find how to do it. The edit, etc bar applies to the browser I’m using so I cannot find applicable tools to make the wanted change. Thanks for any assistance?

If what you want to change is what Outlook.com calls your “alias,” then the procedure is fairly simple. (Microsoft recently changed the functionality of this, and now it is simpler, I think.) With your Outlook.com page open, click your name in the upper right corner, and then click “account settings” in the drop-down box. A new window will open (you may be asked to log in again — this is a security measure to protect your settings.) In the new window, you should see a heading called “Account aliases.” Click “add or change aliases.” If you have only one ID or alias, you should see that listed in the next window that opens, and below it a link that says “Add alias.” Click that link and add whatever new ID you would like. After the new alias has been added, go back to the “Account aliases” page again, following the above steps if necessary, and you will see your old ID marked “Primary alias” and your new ID below it. Below your new ID will be a link that says “Make primary.” If you click that, the alias you have just added will be your new primary alias. If you want, you can then remove the old one, but I suggest leaving it there, at least for a while.

Is this what you are looking for?

Thank you very much. I had previously right clicked on the ID. It worked!
