I have a new wireless router with a new SSID. All my computers have “joined” the new network successfully. I would like to change the SSID to something easier to remember. If I do, will I have to make all the computers (and iPads) rejoin this network by typing in the long password again?

rejoin this network by typing in the long password again

Cut and paste from a text file perhaps would ease the task. Or change the router ssdi which is recommended anyway.

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.

Yes, it is the router’s SSID that I want to change. I will repeat my original question.
Do I have to reconnect all of my devices (using new SSID)?

Yes. A new SSID is a new connection in wireless terms.

      cheers, Paul

As Paul T said, yes because it’s a new connection.

Don't take yourself so seriously, no one else does 🙂
