• Checking NVMe SSD Performance

    Hey Y’all,

    I thought you might find this interesting. I was downloading some updated tools and I decided to run a test on my Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 1tb boot drive in my daily driver.

    I pulled up Crystal Disk Mark 8.0.4 and ran the test using 16GiB test file.

    Those numbers just didn’t look right so I delved into the settings menu and found this.

    Note: the screen shot was taken after I changed the setting.
    So how much of a difference did it make?

    The moral of this story is when using software explore the options carefully!
