[INDENT]when opening Chrome on my old XP message says,

This computer will no longer receive Google Chrome updates because Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported
    (april 1st – 2016)

ended on Version 49.0.2623.110 stopping short of version #50

for those who are still using XP and Vista, there are still browser options, such as Foxfire, which will support Vista until they can’t any longer. Four other browsers still supporting XP and Vista are Lunascape, SlimBrowser, Slimjet and Avant:

    Avant Browser
Download[/B]Download – Avant Browser – The full-featured tri-core rendering Avant Browser which supports IE/Firefox/Chrome engines is fast, stable and memory leak free.

Lunascape: Supported as long as you’re running Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later.

    SlimBrowser Download
Fastest Internet Browser & Best Internet Browser Free Download. Free Net Browser Download.

    Slimjet Download

Download the fastest web browser for Windows and Linux for free.
You can get more info by looking round each site. Opera: Supported and safe to use, although it may be unstable on some older PCs

Mozilla Firefox 45.0.1 is working well with Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit).

There’s also the Pale Moon Atom/XP build.

      Firefox still supports XP:

I suspect they will for some time to come.

Another option is Maxthon, though I’m not too keen on it myself.

Maxthon has not been updated in almost 3 years. I’d consider that no better than using IE or Chrome.

I still have several PC’s that very happily run Windows XP/Pro/SP3, x86.
The default browser on all of them as well as my Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 PC’s, is Firefox.

It just WORKS, and never acts like a Virus, like one that I could (but won’t) mention.
