• chromebook — can I eliminate sign-in password

Just got a new chromebook. Chose my picture and signed in. But now every time I boot up, it requires the password. I would like to just always stay signed in.
Is there any way to eliminate the p-w requirement when I sign in.
Also, it requires a p-w when I awaken the computer from sleep. That box is NOT checked in my settings.

    Ideas?

In Windows, Control Panel, User Accounts the password can be deleted by simply not putting one in, of course you’d have to log in first to get to that point. Chromebook may have something similar, haven’t had occasion to check.

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"

I’ve got the same thing on start-up. But mine doesn’t make me enter my p-w when I wake it up from sleep.
