If you have a dual boot set up of Windows and Linux can Clonezilla image the whole disk so it can be restored onto a new disk in one shot or do you have to image each partition separately?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

The Clonezilla UI is not quite so intuative as others (a little geekier) but once you get it right it works pretty well. I have not used it in about a year so can not get into the details of how to use it, sorry.

Anomaly,
Hello,
I have Linux Mint on a separate HD …So i have never tried (Linux and Windows) … But … I have used “Clonezilla” many times to image the Linux HD, as Acronis 2010 wont. Try this experiment and see what happens…. Go ahead and try to do the clone thing (make sure that you have independent backups of both first) Once the image is made you can try to re-install it to another drive (internal or external ). If successful then swap out your primary with the “cloned” …and see if it boots. If it doesn’t boot… nothing is lost, if it does then you will have your answer. Regards Fred -

Having used just about every other partitioning tool over the years, Partition Wizard freeware is now by far my favourite. PW has effortlessly performed just about any every task I have thrown at it, and it also has lots of really useful help pages that would put many bigger players to shame.
Using it from its Linux based boot CD also makes it a rock solid solution giving, in my experience, far greater reliability than any tool that works live, with the OS still running, and then tries to complete the actions on the next re-boot.PW produced a perfect clone of my 500gb Win7/WinXP/Data/PclinuxOS harddrive, first time.
Well worth giving the developer a decent donation for all his hard work.

Happy cloning!
Cheers, Chris
