When my wife closes out Outlook, she gets the apologetic message that there was an Error and Outlook needs to close down. What the error reads is attached. I hope this is enough to help

AskWoody LoungerNovember 17, 2005 at 3:55 am #985530Unfortunately, that sort of information is only of use to people who know what it means.
Let’s do a test. First, open Outlook and wait for it to check the integrity of the PST, assuming it wants to do that after recovering from a crash. Then immediately close the program. Does it close correctly?
If that works, try closing it every half hour and, when at some point it crashes, note what was different about that time period. For example, anything about running a macro, using an add-in, types of attachments launched, etc., could be a clue.

AskWoody LoungerNovember 18, 2005 at 12:19 am #985724Thank you for trying to help solve this pain. The error message happens everytime that Outlook is opened AND then closed without doing anything in the way of opening or sending email. Outlook doesn’t crash during use and works fine until it’s closed . Maybe the new attachment will help.
