I have a client using Outlook 2003 with 3 com add-ins (Amicus, PDF Converter and Worldox). If they close Outlook, then open it again, the two of the Com add-in toolbars disappear (athough the add-ins arer listed as loaded in the Com Add-ins box). Only the first add-in loads. If they close ALL the programs as well as outlook, then open them again then open Outlook again, the toolbars re-appear.
Does anybody know if this is an Outlook issue or an ill-behaved com add-in?

If they close ALL the programs…. What does this mean?

From the sound of it, some of the Add-ins are not written to simultaneously. What happens when only two of the Add-ins are loaded? Is it always the same 1 of the 3 that redisplays its toolbar?

By “closing” I mean exiting the program while leaving windows running: shut down Amicus, shut down Worldox, shut down Outlook. Then start them up again. Yes, it is always the same one that appears, so you may be right that it was not written to run simultaneously with other add-ins.

Was the client previously able to make this combination of add-ins work with Outlook 2000 or 2002? If so, perhaps something specific to 2003 is causing this.
