• Compile Error in Visual Basic

I am using Excel in MS Office 97 and have run into a compile error. “Can’t find project or library”. I selected Tools, References and in the list displayed saw “Missing Marquee Controll Library”. When I went to Browse to find the missing reference I saw a multitude of DLL’s. Which one references the Marquee Control Library and what do I have to do to make it work?

    Thanks.

      Hi,
If you highlight the name of the library under Tools-References, then under Location at the bottom it should tell you what file it’s looking for – you can then search for that file manually.
      Hope that helps.

Thanks. I found the file but when I click on it nothing happens. The item shown is the browser still reads as missing. What do I have to do with the file?

          Hi,
Sorry for the delay! When you’re in Tools-References, highlight the missing item, select Browse, locate the file (you may need to change the Files of Type box) and then click OK. It should now be OK. You could also move the file but this might cause an error in something else.
          Hope that helps.
