    WorkGroup configeration, on Win98-SE, PC.

How can I do either an “Organize” using either Colors or Using Folders, based on the E-MAIL ADDRESS the message was sent to? This isn’t as obvious as it sounds. Outlook seems to look at the Display Address that was put in the message…not the actual address used in the background. I have people that send e-mail to me that *displays* “Eric Spanitz” but actually was sent to the address e@spanitz.com

I would like to colorize any message sent to e@spanitz.com, no matter what the Display Name/Address is. (If I use a Right-Click on the TO: in the message, I see that e@spanitz.com is in the background…it doesn’t display, and apparently Outlook can’t see that…)

did you try the organize button? for some reason, setting up the rules using it seems to look at the underlying address, not the display name.

otherwise, you need to use the rules wizard and do it based on ‘header contains’

Yeah, I see/saw that…but I was trying to change the color of the message. Seems that “using color” doesn’t have the “header” search ability. Oh well… dizzy
