I have about 23 worksheets which I print all or some at once – I have a macro which after grouping together the requuired sheets set , via an input box, the name of the person preparing the sheets in every footer, together with a page number. Is there any way I can number the worksheets in the footer so that they appear to be all part of the same document (they are not always in the same order or the same number so I cannot do it permanently manually)

When multiple sheets in one WB are selected manually, page numbers are sequential in the order of sheet selection. So we probably need to see your code.

If you select all of the sheets and print them all with one print commend, then the page number in the footer should be consecutive.
