• Control Dialog Box in PPT (PPT 2000)

An appeal on this one in the Powerpoint forum has been fruitless, so I thought I would try here.

I use simple keystroke macros to automate a lot of functions in PPT. Never got around to learning VBA, which would be the obvious solution. Anyhow, I am stumped by one dialog box. The ‘ Format Placeholder’ dialog has several tabs and it comes up with whatever the last tab used was as selected. YOu can move from tab to tab but there appears to be no way to keystroke select a specific tab. What I would like is a solution that would provide a keystroke (or a menu selection) that would open that dialog with the first tab selected. Can someone help?

You’ll have to fiddle with SendKeys to get to the right Tab, or find out which objects to use to set/get particular settings.
